    Having experienced first-hand the troubles that come with low income neighbourhoods, Fahd initiated the York Street ULTIMATE March Break Day Camp, a camp for low-income, visible minority children. Fahd and his team were able to raise $3000 in the first year for the day camp--enough to provide for twenty children. In the Camp's second year, they raised over $6,000 and expanded the camp's reach to thirty-five children in 2012.

    The 2012 FYBY (For Youth By Youth) News Summit will take an in-depth look at the education system and how it reflects the unique needs of youth. Through leveraging the 21st Century technologies of media and video, youth advocates have spent the last four months reflecting on topics and issues related to the education system. These students will showcase their hard work at the 2012 FYBY News Summit to their peers, educators and community leaders and lead everyone in thought-provoking dialogues.
