Lead generation will be hard until you understand these two things: ⁣ → Strong messaging = High response rates ⁣ If you message your ideal client and they leave you on read... They don’t like you as much as you think they do ⁣ This means your content doesn’t add value to their life or solve their problems in a big way.⁣ ⁣ You’re just noise on the feed and another face who’s trying to sell some BS. ⁣ Your messaging must be dialed in. It needs to be valuable and insightful Then, people will love to hear from you.⁣ ⁣⁣ → Inbound leads = resonance ⁣ Resonance comes from a deep understanding of your ideal customers and what they need.⁣ ⁣ Speak to their pains and struggles. Walk them to simple solutions that support them. One of the problems working with local businesses is their sales process and how they handle the leads that you get them. This is a Google ads campaign I'm doing in Canada so cost per click is high but it is for getting a new driveway installed so one job could be worth a few thousand dollars. His sales process was to call them and give them a price over the phone. Out of these 9 leads so far this month, none converted into jobs. The process should be to call out and give a quote because it's such a high ticket industry but I can only offer advice on what to do. So if you're getting leads and not closing jobs then have a look at your sales process.

Are you collaborating with other people in your market with your content? Collabs are fun (and honestly pretty easy) ways to reach new people while keeping your brand super connected to the community. Here’s a few ideas to get you going: 1️⃣ Shoutout local favorites. Partner with your favourite coffee shop (this works better if they have a social following, of course), the independent hardware store, or even a local bakery on your account. Do a little feature, tag them, or even add them as a collaborator on the post (on Instagram) see the impact it has on your reach. You’ll get your brand in front of their followers too. It's basically a win-win for you both - because you both get the extra exposure. 2️⃣ Find a local influencer. Yes, there are probably local influencers in your area. But you don’t need anyone with a million followers! Just look for someone with a dedicated local audience. A quick collab can give your content some fresh personality (and bring in new followers). 3️⃣ Go live together. Pick a hot topic for your market and co-host a live. This is perfect for doing with your referral partners (accountants, solicitors, mortgage brokers, financial planners, tradespeople). It’s such a good way to get to engage with potential followers in real-time. Little partnerships like this make your brand feel more human... and that’s what people connect with. It's actually pretty easy, and it's a time saver for both of you because you both get to use the content. Win-win, right?

I recently had the chance to chat with someone who was super excited about getting into Facebook ads. She’s got the certifications, knows her digital marketing stuff, and is ready to jump in but wasn’t sure how to make that leap into the industry. It took me back to when I was in a similar spot. I remember feeling like I had the skills, but no one would give me a shot. So, here’s what I told her: When I was starting out, I didn’t wait for the perfect opportunity to show up. I reached out to small businesses and even friends who needed help managing their social media. It wasn’t high-profile work, but it gave me something invaluable: real experience. I learned how to create content, run campaigns, and understand what works—sometimes the hard way. And that’s what I told her to do: start somewhere, anywhere, even if it’s small. Don’t underestimate the power of getting your hands dirty and figuring things out as you go. For me, it wasn’t about the certifications or courses (though they helped). It was about jumping in, taking on projects, and showing what I could do. Each client I helped became a stepping stone, building my confidence and skill set. I reminded her that everyone’s journey into this field is unique, but it’s about persistence and putting yourself out there. It’s about proving you can make an impact, no matter where you start. We all have our own way of getting in the door—sometimes you’ve got to create your own. And it’s totally worth it. 🚀

This static image has decreased our CPA by 33%. Static Images are on the rise in the past 3 months. The key to creating converting statics is knowing how your customers describe the problem they face or the outcome they desire to achieve. After scraping: - TikTok, - Amazon, - our Facebook Ad Comment section, and doing an AI analysis of the phrases that come up most frequently, we’ve seen that our ICP wants to “change their life”. That’s also what people say when they leave a review on our website. They say that our books have “changed their life”. So that’s what you need to communicate with your ad creatives. Tell people that this is the one thing that will “finally change their life for the better”.

Day 4️⃣ of quitting a Sr. Marketing role to build a brand: Setting up Shopify 👇 Today was relaxing - did not work too much, just set up Shopify. As far as themes go - you don’t need anything fancy. We’ll be going with a free theme and nailing the basics with the theme provided: 🛍️Bundling options 🛍️Free shipping threshold at cart 🛍️Social proof (minimal but will be there) 🛍️Strong email collection CTA 🛍️Refferral options All of the above will be done with free trials. Is it excessive for a new launch - maybe. But I believe it’s better to be ready to catch and convert initial traffic than to be unprepared.
