The Canadian Nuclear Association participated in the recent Women in Nuclear Canada business delegation to Romania. This impactful trip fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing with key Romanian nuclear stakeholders. CNA VP Regulatory Affairs, Policy and Corporate Events, Jill Baker, and CNA Chair Julianne den Decker joined the delegation, featuring representatives from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, L3Harris Technologies, Kinectrics, Laurentis Energy Partners, AtkinsRéalis, and BWXT Canada. Together, they engaged in insightful discussions on: ⚛️ Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) ⚛️ CANDU reactor refurbishment ⚛️ Workforce development and opportunities for women in nuclear A highlight of the trip was touring the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, offering delegates a firsthand look at the control room. This mission demonstrates the critical importance of women's leadership and collaboration in driving innovation and progress in the global nuclear industry and the CNA is proud to have been a part of it.
