This Remembrance Day, we at TVO take time to reflect on the sacrifices made by Canadians across generations, from the First World War to today’s peacekeeping missions. Our annual tribute not only honours those who served but also highlights stories that might otherwise be forgotten. Through our partnership with Canada Company , we’re renewing how we share these important histories with the next generation. As part of our learning modules, students can now hear first-hand accounts from Canadians who’ve served in past wars and peacekeeping missions. By bringing these stories to life, we make history more relatable and remind young people of the bravery and sacrifice that has shaped our world. This week TVO participated in our 10th Take our Kids to Work day. We welcomed 11 Grade 9 students who had the opportunity to make the connection between school, the world of work, and their future career paths. Here are some highlights of their day: ☕The students joined a hot chocolate connect with our CEO JEFFREY L. ORRIDGE and COO Jennifer Hinshelwood where they discussed the career paths that led them to TVO and asked the students about careers they were interested in. 🎬They toured the William G. Davis Studio for a behind the scenes perspective of what goes into recording an episode of The Agenda with Steve Paikin and after the recording wrapped Steve Paikin answered students’ questions. 💡 The students wrapped up their day with Cathy Jung GPHR ,Vice President People and Culture, where the students spent time reflecting on their day and how to leverage this experience as part of their career exploration journey. Special thanks to the employees who volunteered their time and shared their expertise with the students to make the day a success! #Takeourkidtowork #takeourkidtoworkday #futureleaders
