THRC's new labour report shows truck driver vacancies are improving faster than non-driving roles. Truck driver vacancies are down 36% compared to the same period in 2023. The report also shows positive progress on total employment in the trucking and logistics sector, the unemployment rate, and labour market tightness. We surveyed employers about their finishing programs and found there are many similarities across topics taught and assessed, but what still seems to be missing is a common and consistent set of training standards.   THRC is filling that gap.
