This week, I’m diving into a new facilitation tool that’s equal parts creative and impactful: the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method. 🎉 This method uses LEGO bricks to help groups explore ideas, solve problems, and build connections—all in a way that’s tactile, engaging, and surprisingly insightful. Whether it’s developing shared goals, mapping team dynamics, or working through complex challenges, this hands-on approach brings fresh energy and perspective to the table. I’ve been learning how to use these techniques to help teams think differently, communicate better, and work more effectively together. As someone who loves finding new ways to foster collaboration and spark creativity, I’m excited to weave this into my facilitation practice. As the year winds down, I’m deep in reflection mode (surrounded by sticky notes, flip charts, and the inevitable mess of facilitation supplies). 2024 has been full of lessons, highlights, and meaningful moments—so much so that I decided to pull it all together in my newsletter, coming out at the end of the week. It’s my way of pausing to celebrate the projects we’ve supported, the conversations that have moved me, and the growth I’ve experienced in this work. Our gratitude wall has become a family favorite this week, and these sticky notes really sum up how I’m feeling—I’m so incredibly grateful for the clients, colleagues, friends and fellow change-makers I get to work with. The system disruptors, the big thinkers, the ones imagining new ways of being, thinking, and doing. You all make the world a better place, and the fact that you trust me to be part of that work? Honestly, it blows my mind (and keeps me organized... most of the time 🙃). Thanks for helping me do what I love and for making the future brighter, one conversation at a time. And a special shoutout to our 6-year-old, who’s apparently grateful for the King… not quite sure what that’s about, but hey, gratitude comes in all forms! 👑😄
