  • We’re excited to share the successful completion of our recent renovation of the Go Kia South dealership, situated prominently at 3030 Gateway Boulevard in south Edmonton. The stunning transformation of the existing building was designed to help modernize and enhance both its functionality and aesthetic appeal. The project included significant updates to both the interior and exterior, resulting in a welcoming and bright showroom along with a contemporary environment for clients and staff. Key upgrades included the boardroom, parts area, wash bay, and service bays to enhance Go Kia’s operational efficiency and the overall client experience. We’re delighted with how this project turned out and grateful for the opportunity to have collaborated with such talented partners. A huge thank you to our clients at GOAUTO for trusting us with this project, our consulting partners at DIALOG, Protostatix Engineering Consultants, RemedyEngineering, and SMP Engineering (Electrical), and as always our subtrade partners for all of their dedication and hard work! • This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a Christmas lunch with our team at the Blood Tribe Recovery #community in Cardston, AB. The food was fantastic, and we enjoyed taking a moment to connect with the site team. We were also honoured to have Derrick Fox, CEO of the Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc., join us to share a few words about this important community project. This lunch was also a great opportunity to celebrate our outstanding safety record so far on the project, and to mark a significant project milestone: the successful completion of 1/3 of the slab being poured and the anticipated completion of all grade beams by the end of this month. Our team is proud to be managing construction of this new, 47,000 sq. ft., 75-bed facility. Once completed, it will provide essential residential support, programming, and services for the Blood Tribe in southern Alberta. The project is a collaboration between Alberta Infrastructure and the Government of Alberta and the Blood Tribe Department of Health, Inc., and will offer long-term #addiction treatment services for up to 300 individuals annually. As Construction Manager, we’re very proud to have partnered with both the Blood Tribe and AIberta Infrastructure once again, as well as Shilpa Stocker with Westwinds Management Solutions Inc., FWBA Architects, MPE a division of Englobe, and Colliers Project Leaders | Canada to play a role in delivering another project that will make such a meaningful impact in the community. #ConstructionManagement #CommunitySupport #AddictionRecovery #SynergyBuilds

  • We’re honoured to have attended the recent grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Jim Jiwani Autism Academy. We’re incredibly proud to have partnered with Children's Autism Services of Edmonton to bring their vision to life with the opening of this newly renovated, 6,500 sq. ft. space in west Edmonton. This project involved the transformation of an ‘80s car dealership into a vibrant, state-of-the-art centre that is now a specialized school for children with autism, providing much-needed services and support for students with complex needs. The project is a great example of what can be achieved when passion and purpose meet. Named in recognition of Jim Jiwani for his generous support, this project holds a special place in our hearts, and we were honoured to celebrate its grand opening alongside our project team and partners, as well as the community members who worked so hard to help make this vision a reality. Special thanks to our consulting team—including A&E Architectural, Acuity Engineering & Consulting, RJC Engineers, and Nowak Engineering INC—for their innovative design, which maximized the reuse of existing flooring, HVAC equipment, and ductwork to reduce waste and minimize the environmental impact, while also cutting down on costs for a more sustainable, cost-effective renovation. Congratulations to the entire SPL team and all of our consulting and trade partners on this project. It has been an absolute privilege, and together we’ve created something truly special—a space that will have a lasting, meaningful impact on families and the community for years to come.
