St. Clement's School develops outstanding women who are intellectually curious, courageous, and compassionate.

About us

It's different here at St. Clement's School. There's something special going on, a kind of energy filled with curiosity and courage. It's the way our students approach things, from learning to discovery to play. It's the way we teach - more than just the requisite skills, the ability to think deeply, critically, creatively, and become more self aware. We fundamentally believe each student is unique, and should be known and valued as such; and that if they are to develop and thrive, learning should be as unique as they are. As a leading independent girls' school with over 120 years of history in Toronto, St. Clement's School is recognized for its longstanding commitment to academic rigour and excellence in a small, nurturing environment. We're a close-knit community that celebrates creativity, diversity, and innovation, where our 460 students from Grades 1 to 12 live, learn, and grow together under one roof. Our Vision At St. Clement's School, we are evolving and redefining what it means to really learn and thrive in a world where the only certainty is change. We don't just want our students to thrive, we want them to boldly thrive - to see disruption as opportunity and possibility, to seize change with agility and imagination, to tackle the complex world of tomorrow with confidence and character. Our commitment to excellence in learning means being in tune with the world around us, and always looking ahead. In today's changing, complicated, and ever-more-connected world, our students can be successful in learning and in life only if they are able to think critically, be creative, make connections across subject areas, wrestle with complex issues and problems, and collaborate with many people of differing views. The St. Clement's experience supports and encourages this learning, preparing our students for the future.

Updates

  • During this festive season and all year long, we are so grateful for the generosity and support of our SCS community. We are very pleased to share the digital version of the 2023-2024 Annual Report of Giving, highlighting all the many ways our donors help to make our vision for learning at SCS a reality. Physical copies of the AROG, alongside the most recent Red Blazer magazine, will be coming soon to mailboxes as the mail backlog starts to clear. In the meantime, here is the link to check it out! https://lnkd.in/g_7EUYqR

  • We've been sitting on (many!) boxes of our latest issue of Red Blazer magazine, patiently waiting to be able to mail them out to everyone in the SCS community. Even with the mail moving again, it will likely be some time before the backlog clears and they arrive in everyone's mailboxes. In the meantime, we are delighted to share a link to the digital issue! Enjoy the latest look at what the SCS community has been learning, creating, supporting, and getting excited about over the past few months! • We are thrilled to announce that we raised over $75,000 towards the SCS Annual Fund on #GivingTuesday! A big THANK YOU to everyone who made their contribution. Your generosity helps us enrich our curriculum and co-curricular programs, provide financial assistance, and launch new initiatives that strengthen the education of every student at SCS. Together, we are building a brighter future for the next generation of Clementines.

  • We recently spoke to students and staff about one of our exciting Annual Fund Priority Items: a new projector and mounting camera, and network connection between Powell Hall and the East Gym. SCS Music Teacher, Mr. Monson, reflected that “this new technology will enhance the breadth of our assembly productions, performances, and events, while making Powell Hall even more accessible”. Swipe to hear what our Grade 11 students had to say about it. #GivingTuesday is one day away! Make your donation to the Annual Fund on this Day of Giving and help us check this Priority Item off our list. Visit https://lnkd.in/gTQ6AZ-F or contact the Advancement Department at 416 483 4414 for any inquiries.

  • Our future Grade 3 students were very excited about the prospect that they would receive upgraded furniture in their classroom next year! Some of the items they look forward to using include wobbly chairs, comfortable couches, organizational shelves and drawers, and new chair and desk sets. On this #GivingTuesday, make your Annual Fund gift and help us check this vital Priority Item off our list. For more information about the Annual Fund, view our brochure here: https://bit.ly/3YlaI7r

  • Through the SCS Community's support of the Annual Fund so far, we have purchased the Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada floor map! Students in Grades 1-12 will use this large-scale, 11 x 8 metre floor map. Our Grade 9 students recently used it in their Canadian Geography class. Swipe through to hear more about their impressions. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone in the SCS Community who has already contributed to the Annual Fund and made this possible! If you haven’t donated yet, mark your calendars for #GivingTuesday on December 3. ❤️

  • Save the Date for #GivingTuesday, taking place on December 3. It's one of the largest global movements of generosity, where people around the world come together to support the causes that matter most to them. We are asking you, our SCS community, to make your contribution to SCS’s Annual Fund! Our goal is $650,000, and all funds raised ensure we can bridge the gap between tuition fees and the true cost of a St. Clement’s School education. Your donation will have a tremendous impact on each and every Clementine. Over the week, our social feeds will highlight some of the Annual Fund Priority Items we can acquire through your support - all of which will enhance our students’ learning experience.
