Audience migration in the world of client based work is one of the most important pillars when it comes to growing a successful YouTube channel. At Snap Call Media, we recently held a giveaway for 888casino CA that involved sending two lucky casino fans to a Maple Leafs game! We've been working with sdpn Inc. (Steve "Dangle" Glynn, Adam Wylde & Jesse Blake) on the project and strategized to find a way to engage their sports-focused audience and get them interested in casino content. I constantly preach about the 'value matrix' when it comes to cross-channel promotion. What value can we bring to the targeted audience to get them to cross from one channel to another? While on paper, going from one channel to another is as simple as a click, the average viewer typically finds themselves sticking to what they know. Think about it - when was the last time you subscribed to a channel because someone told you to? You have to provide value, or a reason why the viewer should leave their comfort zone and try new content, especially in a different niche. What was our value matrix? Two lower bowl tickets to see the Battle of Ontario. Getting viewers over to the channel was the first part. The second part was ensuring we had content on the page that is engaging and entertaining for the new viewers to consume while utilizing the friendly & familiar faces of SDPN. Since the giveaway, we've seen an increase in not only subscribers and comments, but also a spike in our click through rate. This shows that the content we've been creating has been engaging to the point where viewers are wanting to see what else the channel has to offer.
