🎉 Exciting news! SimpliCity receives advisory services and up to $90K in funding from the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to transform municipal housing permit systems. With this support, SimpliCity will advance its platform to help make municipal housing permit application and approval processes easier, faster, and more transparent for Canadian businesses and citizens. The next version of our platform will be designed to seamlessly integrate with existing municipal systems, enhancing the housing permit process with citizen-facing dashboards and automation tools for staff. The goal? To streamline the permitting journey, from application submission to status updates, making the process more efficient and transparent for everyone involved. This is our first step in unifying the entire citizen self-service experience, which in future will go beyond housing permits. 📢 Municipalities: We need your input! We'd love to have three Canadian municipalities join our pilot as early housing permit integration customers and advisors. As early adopters, you'll receive a 60% discount on the implementation and licensing fees. 👉 Interested in joining the pilot and/or becoming advisors along the way? Contact CEO Briana Sim for more info. 📢 Here is what the District of North Vancouver's Manager of Digital Services John Moreau had to say about their recent website visual refresh process on SimpliCity’s platform: “With the design refresh in SimpliCity, we were able to do all of the work ourselves -- from early design to final implementation -- using our own team. This is a level of control that we have never had with our Drupal site, where we were required to hire external resources for even the most modest updates. Having total control of the end-to-end process gave us tremendous freedom to experiment and iterate, test what was working, and course correct as needed, without the complexities of running everything through a third party. This additional level of control is also paying off post release, as it's far easier for us to continue refining and tweaking the new design as we begin to get feedback from our users. Input we receive today can easily be translated into live improvements in literally a day or two.” (As promised, this is a follow-up to yesterday’s post: https://lnkd.in/gAM6cdTb ) 💻Designed specifically for municipalities, SimpliCity helps create ease and efficiency for staff and an accessible, user-friendly digital experience for citizens. #GovernmentDX #BCtech #DigitalTransformation #GovTech #PublicSectorInnovation #CX #EarlyAdopters #DigitalServices #ComposableCMS #DrupalAlternative #Flexible #MunicipalWebsiteRefresh

⭐ How easy was your last municipal website visual refresh release? Last week, our founding partner the District of North Vancouver released a fresh new look for their website. Because this summer the DNV replatformed from Drupal to SimpliCity’s composable CMS, they: ✅ had a quick and iterative internal redesign and development process; ➕ ✅ didn’t need DNV’s IT staff on release night; ➕ ✅ experienced an instantaneous cutover from the old design to the refreshed design; 🟰 which resulted in a seamless transition for staff and the public using the site. See how it went ⬇️👀 Psst... Stay tuned for tomorrow where we'll post a quote from DNV about their process. #MunicipalWebsiteRefresh #GovernmentDX #BCtech #DigitalTransformation #GovTech #PublicSectorInnovation #CX #EarlyAdopters #DigitalServices #ComposableCMS #DrupalAlternative #Flexible

Next week we'll be at the Public Sector Network #PSNinnovation show in Victoria, BC. How timely as it's after our recent advisory services and funding announcement with #NRCIRAP where we'll be focusing on extending our composable CMS platform to include #HousingPermit integrations on our journey to unify #DigitalServices for municipalities and other government bodies at the local, provincial, and federal levels. We're looking forward to learning more at the jam-packed Technology and Digital CX tracks. See you there! https://lnkd.in/gBzE7EGT #Sponsorship #Conference #GovernmentDX #DigitalCX #BCstartup #GovTech #Innovation

What a whirlwind of a day at yesterday’s #accelerategov2024 conference. Didn’t have a chance to take many pics after all. It was definitely a well-attended event. Here’s hoping that with all the #digitaltransformation initiatives under way, that the Government of Canada looks to partner with a larger percentage of Canadian companies and startups like ours at SimpliCity CMS. There is a lot of home-grown #innovation to tap into! #governmentDX #canadianSME #womanowned #OneFrontDoor #digitalservices #SimpliCityCMS
