Data analysts want to dig deeper for insights, but they’re buried under a pile of random requests. When they get the proper tools, like runQL, they can answer the ad-hoc requests by easily searching for queries that already exist. We’ve heard from data analysts and data scientists that they need better tools for writing and managing queries. We’ve experienced this first hand too!

Don't risk your job with this AI blunder 🤦♂️ There's a lot of AI excitement in the tech world right now. Some of it is a great augmentation of skills like text summary, content generation or specific features in a product. One of the AI danger zones is Conversational BI tools for organizational data. 👇 What is Conversational BI for organizational data? These are tools that take business user natural language questions, convert them to SQL and then retrieve and return data from your Data Warehouse to answer the question. What Conversational BI solutions are suitable right now? It is best for very specific data use cases where the data is pristine, the model is not complex, not large, and everything is well defined. Examples of these use cases: - A Conversational BI tool that focuses on being an interface to Google Analytics. - A Conversational BI tool for your SaaS product that allows your own customers to generate reports. The Testing Data: Here are the overall benchmarks from a study done by data.world using GPT-4 on data that is closer to enterprise data in complexity and size: - 16.7% Accuracy rate. - When augmenting the process with a Knowledge Graph the accuracy increased to 54.2%. That's right - 16.4% accuracy rate on it's own! Do you want to risk having your organization make business decisions that are 16.4% accurate from your enterprise data set? Even with a Knowledge Graph, it would be quicker and easier to just flip a coin to make a business decision. There are better ways to make enterprise data more available to business users and leverage AI where it makes sense. Looking for solutions or confused by the options? Feel free to reach out. Don't risk your job for hype. Link to the research paper is in the comments.

Is this crazy to you? It seems crazy to us! 🤯
This is crazy to me. 🤯 Imagine that you are on a team called the "email team" and your job is to send emails for the organization because it is too complex for others to do BUT: 1. Every email you send does not automatically save to your "sent items". Instead you have to copy/paste the content of the email to a file or another tool in order to keep it. 2. You can not cc teammates on an email to share it with them. Instead you have to copy/paste it into a file and commit+push it to git and tell your teammate to pull from git in order to see it. 3. You have to keep documentation on why you sent the email, what it's purpose is, etc. so it could be found and reused by your teammates and to do this you have to copy/paste the email to another tool and then write documentation there. If you had to manage email in that way it would be frustrating and inefficient! So why do current solutions and businesses expect Frontline Data Professionals to still work this way in 2024? 🤯 runQL allows you to save, version and share your sql queries with one click and enjoy auto documentation. All from the same tool you write queries in.
