About us
The Regional Geriatric Program Central (RGPc) is one of eleven regional geriatric programs located in Ontario. It is affiliated with McMaster University and hosted by Hamilton Health Sciences. The RGPc provides strategic and operational leadership for the implementation of clinical geriatric services with the goal of assisting frail older adults to live independently and preventing unnecessary or inappropriate institutionalization. The RGPc works closely with local community and health partners to provide services and programs across Hamilton, Niagara, Haldimand, Norfolk, Brant, Burlington and Waterloo Wellington regions. Along with coordinating and improving health services for older adults, the RGPc has a strong focus on education, knowledge translation and research.
