Meet Dr. Saadia Sediqzadah Dr. Saadia Sediqzadah is a psychiatrist and clinician-investigator at St. Michael’s Hospital, specializing in outreach psychiatric care for marginalized populations, including youth with psychotic illnesses and individuals experiencing homelessness. With a Master’s in Health Policy from Harvard, Dr. Sediqzadah bridges mental health, health economics, and decision science. She is also a passionate advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion, leading impactful curriculum development on racism, trans/non-binary care, and police involvement in mental health at the University of Toronto. As the only psychiatrist of Afghan descent in Canada, Dr. Sediqzadah supports the Afghan diaspora and mentors underrepresented medical students pursuing psychiatry and advocacy.
