Our Vancouver team celebrated the season in style at Tap & Barrel Group in Olympic Village, where we wrapped up the year with food, laughter, and plenty of fun! 📸 The highlight? A festive photo booth from Vancity Photo Booth where we captured some unforgettable moments with the crew. It was the perfect way to celebrate a successful year together and get ready for what 2025 has in store. Cheers!

Last week, our teams across Canada gathered to wrap up 2024 in style! From the stunning Glowbal Restaurant Group in Vancouver to the outdoor dining experience at Fairmont Banff Springs and La Castile in Toronto, each venue set the stage for celebrating, reflecting, and connecting with our incredible teams. We took the time to celebrate our collective accomplishments, reflect on a successful year, and enjoy some well-deserved downtime together. As we gear up for 2025, we're excited to embrace new challenges and opportunities, but not before enjoying a much-needed holiday break! We’re proud to share the Suncor Energy Centre (SEC) renewal in downtown Calgary, a transformative project that reimagines the public spaces between the two red granite towers, originally completed in 1984, and creates a vibrant and collaborative workspace.  The project incorporates Indigenous design and storytelling and natural materials, opens the space between the towers, and introduces a new tree-filled “forum.” Collaboration spaces, accessible seating options, reimagined tower entrances, a new south entrance, centralized escalators, and multiple pathways through the “forum” revitalize the space. Old meets new in the heart of downtown Vancouver with The Butterfly, a stunning 57-storey luxury residential tower designed by Revery Architecture Inc. Inspired by the ephemeral beauty of clouds and the timeless passage of time, The Butterfly’s undulating façade and elegant base pay homage to the historic First Baptist Church (FBC) next door. Together, this unique pairing of a 1911 church and modern architecture brings new vibrancy to the community. LMDG is proud to be serving as the code consultant for this one-of-a-kind project, ensuring safety and functionality are woven seamlessly into the design. Building rendering by Hayes Davidson, and special thanks to our own Evan Ford for the views from inside the building.

With our Vancouver office just steps from BC Place, the excitement is shimmering as Taylor Swift takes the stage tonight, Saturday, and Sunday for the last stop of her incredible Eras Tour! ✨ No one is more thrilled than our own Lia Fuzzati, who couldn’t resist snapping a pic next to one of the many light-up signs surrounding the city for the occasion. As Taylor says, “It's a love story, baby, just say yes” – and we’re saying yes to all the excitement in the air! Are you ready for it?

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved co-founder, Ed MacKinnon. Ed left us suddenly on November 10, 2024, at his home in Mont Carmel, Prince Edward Island.  Ed was not only one of the visionaries behind LMDG, but also a compassionate leader, mentor and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.  Ed’s dedication, kindness, creativity and unwavering passion were integral to the founding and success of LMDG’s profile and initiatives. We will honour Ed’s memory by continuing the work he so deeply believed in, and by carrying forward the values he instilled in our brand and its growth. As we mourn this profound loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life and lasting impact that Ed had on all of us. Ed's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on forever in the hearts of our LMDG family. It was an incredible experience attending SocialPacific 2024, British Columbia’s largest digital marketing conference! 🙌 Megan Verhey, our Marketing & Communications Coordinator, joined over 400 fellow marketers for a day packed with insights on cutting-edge AI, influencer strategies, and innovative email and SMS tactics. The sessions were inspiring, and she walked away with so many fresh ideas to bring back to the team. It was amazing to connect with like-minded professionals and learn from some of the best in the industry.
