About us
Local solutions for local health care needs. The Leduc Beaumont Devon Primary Care Network provides services for patients in the Cities of Leduc and Beaumont, Towns of Devon and Calmar and all communities in Leduc County. A group of 63 family physicians and 1 nurse practitioner working in 18 clinics along with additional health care professionals (registered nurses and dietitians, a registered pharmacist and psychologist and an exercise specialist) work together to improve primary care for our patients. "Integrated and coordinated primary care services for a healthier Leduc County and its communities." Primary Care Networks (PCNs) use a collaborative team approach to provide care for patients and to coordinate primary health care services provided by family physicians, Alberta Health Services and other health care professionals. PCNs are a way to provide team support for family doctors by bringing teams of health professionals together – doctors, nurses, dietitians, social workers, mental health professionals, pharmacists, occupational and respiratory therapists and others. PCNs also manage 24-hour patient access to appropriate primary care services.

Happy first day of winter! ❄️ PCN dietitians have put together winter meal ideas to help you make the most of the cozy winter months! 🍲 Warm and nourishing soups: On a cold winter day there is nothing quite like a warm pot of homemade soup. Our dietitians suggest trying a butternut squash soup or vegetarian chili. 🍲 Cozy comfort dishes: Casseroles are great for incorporating seasonal vegetables. Some options include sweet potato shepherd’s pie or stuffed spaghetti squash. 🍲 Mindful indulgences: Cozy treats are in abundance this time of year. While these delights are tempting, it’s important to enjoy in moderation. Some of our dietitians’ favourite recipes include apple crumble or a gingerbread smoothie. By incorporating these dietitian-approved tips into your winter eating habits you can stay warm, healthy, and satisfied. #firstdayofwinter #food #wintermealideas
