    Principal/Primary-Junior Teacher Kingsley School

Spending some time reflecting on working at Kingsley School which has been in operation since 1981. Kingsley is an independent school, whose current Board of Directors is made up of intelligent, strong, innovative women. The school was created to provide a nurturing environment where children are heard, seen and respected every day. Kingsley School continues to be grounded on the principles, and the teachings of Dr. Haim Ginott who believed that there is no unacceptable child, only unacceptable behaviour. He believed that children benefit the most from adults who provide them with unconditional love and support, and that is the crux of what happens at Kingsley School to this day. Our PreK-Grade 5 classes are capped at 12 students per teacher ensuring that differentiated learning, and quality one-to-one teacher-student time happens every single day. Kingsley is not a "one size fits all" school. Each child shines in their own way on their own time. Children are encouraged to set and reach goals for themselves, to think outside the box and to work as an individual but also as part of the greater community. Our strong character curriculum helps pave the way for these future superstars. Students and teachers are quoted as saying, "We are small but mighty!" The "mighty" shows up in so many ways at Kingsley. If you are looking for a boutique sized school with a great big heart, a place where your child is seen and heard every day, where communication is on-going as is a sense of belonging, then look no further. Book a personalized tour and come see what we are all about. You can also visit us at https://lnkd.in/eWNFArbC for more information.
