Outdated devices like phones, computers, and printers often pile up on job sites and in offices, and although they are critical to our operations, when they reach the end of their life, they pose significant environmental challenges.    Our E-Waste Recycling Program tackles this issue by:  ✔️ Diverting electronics from landfills  ✔️ Recovering valuable resources like gold and copper  ✔️ Preventing harmful substances like lead and mercury from polluting soil and water     Through this initiative, we’re not only safeguarding the environment but also reinforcing our commitment to sustainability through responsible resource management and waste diversion. KO Constructors, a Kenaidan and Obayashi joint venture, hosted their first Semi-Annual Leadership Safety Summit at the Lower Don EW3 project on December 2nd, 2024. The event was launched with a mandatory safety stand-down, attended by our workforce. A retrospective review of the project’s safety performance was then presented to leaders representing various key stakeholders, highlighting initiatives aimed at fostering worker engagement and enhancing risk management. The summit concluded with a preview of key safety initiatives planned for 2025. This year, Kenaidan has been celebrating a major milestone: our 50th Anniversary! From showcasing our throwback projects to hosting special events for our team, the theme of the "50th Anniversary" has truly been at the heart of everything we do. Last weekend, we capped off our Ontario celebration with an unforgettable evening for our employees. The night was filled with live entertainment and heartfelt speeches from John Goffredo, President of Kenaidan, and Aidan Flatley, Co-Founder and Chairman of Kenaidan. We also had a special gift presentation for Aidan — a painting inspired by a vintage photo of Ken and Aidan beside one of our first trucks. But the highlight of the evening was seeing our incredible team come together to celebrate Kenaidan’s journey and successes — none of which would be possible without the dedication of our talented employees.
