Windrose Supportive Housing provides semi-independent living to young women in Ottawa between the ages of 16-24 experiencing homelessness, criminalization, and exploitation. Our youth come to us after experiencing a lifetime of trauma, and it’s our goal this year to provide them with the most loving holiday season. Also, we won! 😆 🏆 Big win alert! 🏆 Our JHS Ottawa team just took home our first-ever softball championship title! After going undefeated (3-0) in the round robin, we powered through the semi-final against The Ottawa Mission and triumphed over Shepherds of Good Hope in a thrilling 11-7 final. 🎉 From Ross (our “Babe Ruth” of softball!) and David’s MVP catch—despite a daring slide right through some doggie “leftovers”—to cartwheels courtesy of Coach Riley, every player brought their A-game. With 57 runs scored, it was a day full of laughter, teamwork, and community spirit.
