Yesterday, IFEX members and partners published a joint statement led by 7amleh - The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media, Maharat Foundation and MADA – the Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedom, in solidarity with Palestinian and Lebanese journalists bravely reporting among unprecedented levels of Israeli violence. Under the regimes of Hun Sen and Hun Manet, tactics to silence dissent have led to the dismantling of opposition and the targeting of land rights #activists and #journalists. Recent data shows that nearly 𝟭𝟬𝟬 individuals have been arrested for opposing development projects and violations against journalists have increased significantly. .
