💥 Teamwork makes the dreamwork! (Long post and name dropping alert) It’s been a whirlwind few weeks, but we pulled it off. A SOLD OUT 2024 Atlantic Indigenous-Led Energy Symposium! This event brought together some of the most brilliant professionals in the Indigenous and energy sectors to have conversations about development strategies that create equitable, profitable, and sustainable developments towards a net-zero future. I had the immense pleasure of being a part of the North Shore Mi'kmaq Tribal Council symposium team, helping in program design, social media promotion leading up to and during the event, and coordination of event displays (and many many steps around the Fredericton Convention Centre ) A massive WELA’LIEG and congratulations to Jim Ward , Kevin Woods, P.Eng, CEA and the entire NSMTC team for this achievement, I think everyone that attended and took part felt that this was something special. Thank you for your leadership and for making me feel like part of the team. It was also a chance to spend some time with my friends from the Port of/de Belledune who were organizing sponsor of the event, which meant going above and beyond sponsorship in their assistance to organize and promote the symposium. We had the pleasure of spending some time with his excellency Hugh Adsett ambassador of Canada to the Netherlands who gave a keynote at the conference. Thank you to the amazing Jennifer Cleversey Moffitt for being the kind and caring leader that you are. Thanks to Deborah Nobes and Philip for the yummy pizza and hospitality!! It was incredible to catch up with the always inspiring Victoria LaBillois, MBA who captivated the crowd as MC and kept things rolling and upbeat all week. A collaborator and mentor for over 15 years, I’m grateful to call you and Kenny my friends. It was great spending some time with Ugpi’ganjig Chief Jake Caplin and councillor Karen Narvie with the Chief taking part in a panel on recent energy developments in his community. 💥 Looking forwards to rock AILES 2025 (now we rest)!!!
