We were proud to recognize the Virtual Opioid Dependency Program with a 2020 Patient Experience Award! Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dBxyQ-qc. #ABHealth #PatientExperience
Former Opioid Dependency Program client, Chris Jamieson, has not only put in the many years of hard work of going through the Program, but he has become a peer support worker and Recovery Coach, helping those struggling with addiction, just as he had. “If you or anyone you know is struggling, with any kind of addiction, reach out for help,” Chris says. “We call it the 10,000-pound phone because it’s hard, but it’s really important to humble yourself enough to ask for help.” “From working these programs, I have fulfilling, enriching relationships with people now,” Chris adds. “My life has become great - I get the privilege of being a father to my son.” For more information about opioid dependency, visit www.recoveryalberta.ca. To access same-day services, call the Virtual Opioid Dependency Program at 1-844-383-7688. Help and support is also available 24/7 through the Addiction Helpline at 1-866-332-2322, or through 211.
