As a shopper, I’ve left my fair share of carts behind. Sometimes I’m not ready to commit, sometimes I’m just browsing, and honestly, sometimes I just forget. And what happens next? The same product starts following me around like it’s on a mission to haunt my feed. As a marketer, I can’t help but cringe a little. Retargeting has so much potential, but most of it feels impersonal and out of touch. It’s like shouting, “Buy this!” instead of asking, “What stopped you?” What’s missing? Context. What if we knew why the shopper didn’t convert? Even better, what if we could predict their conversion likelihood? That lipstick I left in the cart? Maybe I need a guide on finding my shade. The jacket I abandoned? Perhaps reassurance about the fit or a small discount would help. When retargeting adapts to intent, it builds trust. Real-time personalization ensures you’re not just guessing why someone didn’t buy but addressing it with relevance. That’s where tools like Helium Pulse step in. They help brands connect with shoppers by understanding intent, knowing the likelihood of conversion, and responding with the right message at the right time. Because at the end of the day, wouldn’t it be better to retarget smarter, not harder?

  • The age-old controversial Delhi vs. Bombay debate just got an e-commerce twist. Same search: “Black Sequinned Dresses.” Different results. Why? Because Pulse knows style isn’t one-size-fits-all—just like these cities. Fashion might divide us, but personalization brings us all together.

Sundar Pichai recently said something that stuck with me: "Every time there's a new wave of technology, people don't quite know how to use it." When Netflix started streaming, the first thing they did was replicate the experience of a DVD rental store: rows of titles, categorized neatly. It worked—until they realized that streaming didn’t need the constraints of a physical store. They reimagined the interface entirely, creating personalized recommendations, dynamic browsing, and content discovery tailored to every viewer. Now, with AI, we’re standing at the same inflection point, here’s a question we’ve been asking ourselves: Why does a collection page look the same for everyone? Think about it. You might be browsing for inspiration, while someone else is looking to complete their wardrobe. Why show them the same layout? The same products? The same flow? AI opens the door to dynamic, personalized experiences, a collection page that adapts: - For the explorer: Curated highlights and styles to spark discovery. - For the goal-driven buyer: Precise recommendations, filtered and ranked to their needs. - For the undecided: Guided browsing tailored to their evolving preferences. One thing is clear: personalisation isn’t just about sprinkling in a few product recommendations. It’s about memory, context, and intent—curating every interaction to make shopping feel intuitive, personal, and, dare I say, effortless. Since you've made this far reading I'm sure this do rings a bell, would love to know what you think?

Pulse Check Post #4 Imagine if you could have a live "Conversion Score Predictor" for every visitor on your website! 🎯 Just like the win predictor in cricket or other sports that adjusts as the game progresses, this conversion score would continuously update conversion scores based on user interactions. From browsing products to adding items to the cart, you'd see real-time insights into their likelihood to convert — all in one seamless view. What if you could take the pulse of your audience’s journey at every scroll? 💡 Would you want to see this kind of conversion predictor in action? #Helium #PulseCheck #ConversionPredictor #Ecommerce

  • Why Is E-Commerce Still So Static? Shoppers don’t want static, one-size-fits-all experiences anymore. Imagine if your website adapted instantly, understanding WHO your shopper is and WHAT they need from the moment they arrive. The difference? - Higher engagement - Increased AOV - More conversions It’s time we stop treating personalisation as an afterthought. What’s holding the industry back? #Ecommerce #Personalisation #Customer #Experience #ai

Pulse Check 🔎Post #3 Doesn’t your website deserve more with personalization? Imagine if your site could adapt like social media, making every visitor feel like it was built just for them. Why are brands not doing it? I would love to hear; please comment if you have any thoughts.

Can we really create a website that changes for each visitor in real time? 🤔

Pulse Check 🔎 Post #2 Walk into an H&M store in New York, and you’ll find a curated selection that reflects the city’s style and season—think warm knits and bold, urban pieces. Head over to H&M in Miami, and it’s lighter, brighter, with beach-ready vibes. But online? It’s a one-size-fits-all experience. The same homepage, the same recommendations—regardless of whether you’re in NYC or Miami. Imagine if e-commerce mirrored that local touch, pulsing with the preferences of each user. What if the online experience could be as personalized as the in-store one? Shouldn’t our websites adapt to reflect who and where our customers are? What’s your take on hyper-personalizing e-commerce experience for each user?

Time to challenge the status quo!

Why are we still okay with 3% or less conversion rates in e-commerce?🤔 Launching a new series: The Pulse Check 💡 Each post will tackle the status quo in e-commerce, highlighting ways to push boundaries for a better customer experience. I’d love to hear your thoughts—together, let’s rethink what’s possible. In an age of precision data and AI, shouldn’t we be aiming higher? If 97% (or more) of visitors aren’t converting, it’s time to question the norm. Have you ever thought about this?
