FP Canada reposted this
I'm pleased to share that I have successfully passed FP Canada's Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam. January will mark my seventh year in the industry when I first embarked on my pursuit of financial designations. It started with the CIM designation through the Canadian Securities Institute, and then carried on to the CFA program, where I successfully passed the Level I exam but was unfortunately cancelled on twice for the level II exam in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite a few bumps in the road with my pursuit of the CFA designation, I shifted my focus towards the CFP designation as I relocated to Ottawa to take on the role of District Vice President for Manulife Investment Management. Balancing a full-time job while pursuing the CFP designation and a MBA at the Telfer School of Management through the University of Ottawa has been no easy feat... Over the last seven years I've had to make a lot of sacrifices and remain resilent through the Covid-19 pandemic when it seemed like the world had come to a halt. Calvin Coolidge, 30th President of the United States, said it best: "Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." When the going gets tough, I always reread this quote I've shared below from the late Calvin Coolidge. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey of continuous learning. It doesn't stop here... I'm only just getting started!
