And just like that Nigel Bullers CEO EasyPark and his wonderful team magically waved their wands🪄 at the humble parking behind LiangYou, the beloved bookstore so many of you grew up going to on East Georgia street in Chinatown. The group conveyed a longstanding commitment as partners with the City of Vancouver and the VPD to continue to support the #culturalintegrity and #publicsafety of Chinatown by offering modernized solutions (digitalization and data visualization) to business owners, round-the-clock enforcement #security 🚔, protecting property and essentially redirecting theft and crime 👊🏻out of spaces where families and patrons frequent. Such conversions are what makes places like Chinatown safer for all. 🚓🙌🏼 ✨✨✨✨ As if by sheer #manifestation, Peter has publicly and actively conveyed in the last few years, the need for support against hate crimes, theft and vandalism around Chinatown. 🚨Simply by being a visitor at LiangYou that day to say hello to some familiar faces, I was able to be part of this special collaboration (not sure whose attempt it was) but a break down of language barriers between the two groups regardless. 😂🤝 What really baffled me, yet again, was that somehow this energy and intention seemed to attract VPD Deputy Chief Constable Howard Chow and officers to have dimsum that day at Floata as we were finalizing the works.👮🏼♀️🥟🥢 Mysterious! ✨✨✨✨ Whether it be small or large interactions, they all have a summative effect around us. On behalf of Peter, it is with sincerest gratitude to EasyPark that parking spaces are easier to manage for legacy business owners and a #saferspace in this shared #ecosystem that we live in. __________________ #Update: Surprisingly so many of you have reached out to share your #firstgeneration youth experiences of this #beloved bookstore, buying newspapers or running inside to catch the latest comics, wanting to get an update.
