🚗 No wonder Driverseat is an award-winning franchise with visionaries like Luke Bazely and Brian Bazely behind it! One of my biggest takeaways from this podcast is the importance of not being afraid to get your hands dirty when starting a business. 🧤 ▶️ The Driverseat team shifted from a chauffeur model to a shuttle and charter business when they saw it was a better fit. That pivot made the business more scalable and sustainable. ▶️ Franchising doesn’t have to be expensive. Driverseat was built with franchising in mind, taking a completely different approach. Franchisees can start small with one or two vehicles and grow as they generate positive cash flow. ▶️ Luke emphasizes that true accountability comes from within. You can’t force or hold someone accountable-they either are or they aren’t. If someone consistently fails to meet their responsibilities, it’s a sign they’re not inherently accountable. 🤷♀️ ▶️ While opening more franchise units might seem like a key metric, a more sustainable approach is ensuring the current locations are cashflow positive. 💯 And one thing Luke said that will stay with me forever: You can only truly love selling when you know you’re offering the other person an opportunity that could benefit them. Transportation industry experience doesn't make you a great fit for a Driverseat franchise... We get A LOT of franchise inquiries from people in the transportation space. Taxi drivers, Uber drivers, truck drivers, courier drivers, dispatchers, operations coordinators, you name it. But there is absolutely no clear advantage in having industry experience. In fact, not one of our current franchise partners came from the industry. It's because we've engineered that requirement out and the competencies you need... we teach you. Our franchise does not require specific skills or training as a prerequisite.
