Protecting the privacy of our most sensitive and personal health data is foundational to building trust across the ecosystem, including data custodians, consumers, and donors. Thank you to the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health for the opportunity to share our perspective and help shape guidance on the use of #generativeAI alongside other leaders in this space. #openscience #thefutureisfederated #dataprivacy
🗣️ Such an absolute pleasure to present today at the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health 12th Plenary in Melbourne, Australia alongside Ma'n H. Zawati (irl) and Marc Fiume (online)! 🌏 We're in the process of devising an ethico-legal guidance document on the use of #generativeAI in genomics research — highlighting the need for: • technical robustness through auditing ⛓️ • privacy protection 🔐 • lowering the risk of biased outputs ⚖️ • explainability 📣 and other key considerations when developing and using this tech 🤖 This is such a great community of people doing important and incredible research and work. Grateful to be here and to be exploring Melbourne for the first (but hopefully not the last) time too 🗺️
