I'm heading to Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in Philadelphia today, joining the Climate Resiliency stream. Why? Because climate-related extreme weather events have cost the global economy over $2 trillion in the past decade—a financial impact on par with the 2008 global crisis. Clearly, this isn’t about "Climate Change" as a distant concept; it’s about managing the climate realities we face today. I’m eager to see how my views align with those of other leaders, but here’s what I believe we need to focus on: 1. Prioritize scale over perfection. 2. Accelerate the pace of action. 3. Accept that we may make some missteps, but move forward confidently, knowing checks and balances are in place. SPEED & SCALE — let's go! See you soon: Hamoda Youssef, Jeff Benavides, Emily Heppard, Nada Sutic, Kris Kolenc, Ben Welch, Liam Connell, Jonathan Flaherty, Elaine Aye, Richard Manning, AIA
