    A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all Nov 30th at the 20th annual "Festival of the Greens" with in excess of $190,000 raised by the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. Their gala event has raised over $2.6 million for healthcare on island with the night's tally getting the total close to $3mm! Thanks to Sydney Credit Union table attendees for a "Roaring 20's" night; SCU Board member Mike Mombourquette and his wife Wendy, Board member and former Dean of Business, Shannon School of Business, CBU, George Karaphillis and his wife Ginger, Darren Gallop, Founder & CEO of Carbide and his mother Susan along with Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO Megan Penney, accompanied by the chamber's most recent hires Ankit Wadhwa (MBA) and Jacob MacDonald. SCU marketing was in the house too Vikki Ford taking "candid" photos. Shout out to Steven van Nostrand, CPA , Keltic Kubota owner, for their ongoing generosity to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. I am the proud owner of the most "pimped out" snow blower in Mira, maybe even all of Nova Scotia! A guarantee of a snowless winter? We shall see. Happy holidays to all.
