Fascinating to watch how the prospect of potential US tariffs has taken over the entire news cycle in Canada. Here's what we said more than two weeks ago: "If you're the boss at a Canadian corporation and you're not talking to your (CPA) CFO, then you've lost the game already. The spectre of coming hikes to tariffs and a new, Trump-style brand of protectionism will impact every Canadian company that exports to the United States." https://lnkd.in/gZWjbgdR

Ontario's large media outlets have completely missed a very big developing story: municipalities across the province struggling to come to terms with the hike in OPP costs negotiated by the Doug Ford government and its impact on municipal budgets already stretched to the max. But we've been able to cover the very real potential impact on property taxes in a number of stories as local politicians worry about passing on the costs of the hike to homeowners ... especially in towns like Midland that disbanded their local police force to go with the OPP: https://lnkd.in/gbC_Q7Y4
