What better way to kick off the holiday season than by showcasing how our client CanadaHelps is supporting the charitable sector this holiday season. Thank you to CP24 Toronto's Breaking News, CBC, CTV News, CHCH TV and more for covering today's Mayoral tour initiated by CanadaHelps. The mayors of Mississauga, Oakville, and Burlington each led tours of a local food bank or community centre alongside CanadaHelps to discuss the escalating and urgent food insecurity crisis, and how a simple act of generosity can make a difference. Plus, mayors from several other GTA cities will be doing their own local tours over the next week. And as a reminder, #GivingTuesday is coming up on December 3rd. This day of generosity first began in New York City as a hashtag in 2012. It was then launched here in Canada by CanadaHelps in 2013. Today, GivingTuesday is a global movement and an annual tradition that unites people across the country. And here in Canada, it continues to be spearheaded by CanadaHelps My team and I have been working with CanadaHelps for the past 4 years and it’s a truly beautiful thing to see the waves of kindness spreading across communities nationwide on GivingTuesday, which is also known as the unofficial kickoff to the season of generosity. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for more updates from our fantastic team! Thank you to Caroline McGrath, Christy A Laverty, and Lindsay Silverberg for your incredible work on behalf of CanadaHelps.
