Congratulations to former Chief Justice Rossiter for his time leading the Tax Court of Canada. He has elected to become a supernumerary judge. Justice Rossiter was the Associate Chief Justice when I was a clerk at the Tax Court. He was great to us. And since then, he has always been great about sending Tax Court Judges to speak at CPA Ottawa's Annual Tax Update. In 2020, he attended himself and gave a riveting presentation. I'm sure he will enjoy more time at home in PEI on his boat. Yesterday Blachford Tax Law hosted a free, 1-hour webinar titled, How to Avoid Large CRA Audits. We are perfectionists when it comes to producing high-quality and engaging content on tax disputes for CPAs and other professionals, so it takes a full team to execute a webinar like this. I knew I was in the presence of greatness! Huge congratulations to the new Chief Justice of the Tax Court of Canada, Justice St-Hilaire! Justice St-Hilaire has an incredible track record of serving Canadian taxpayers and advancing our Canadian tax system, not to mention training the next generation of legal professionals. She's just one of these super human people who is a hyper-overachiever, while at the same time being kind, humble, and generous with her time. They broke the mold after they made her. I'm a good-vibes kind of person. I like to talk, write, and focus on positive stories.
