Je partage rarement des nouvelles personnelles ici, mais aujourd’hui, c’est différent. Ce projet de recherche si innovant m’a touchée d’une manière qui me pousse à le partager avec vous, et c'est disponible gratuitement pour tout le monde au Canada Lors des journées du parcours InnovIA Académie ,j’ai découvert BioTwin une entreprise québécoise fondée par LP (Louis-Philippe) Noel , qui a mis au point une application de jumeau numérique et d’intelligence artificielle capable de détecter précocement certains cancers. Cette technologie, utilisée notamment pour le dépistage du cancer du sein, affiche un taux de précision de 82 % pour détecter un éventuel cancer, et ce, pour moins de 5 $, contre environ 150 $ pour une mammographie. En réduisant les coûts et le temps de détection, BioTwin pourrait vraiment contribuer à sauver des vies tout en allégeant les systèmes de santé. Pourquoi cela me touche particulièrement ? J’ai perdu trois membres de ma famille très proche à cause d’un cancer du pancréas, souvent diagnostiqué trop tard en raison de son caractère asymptomatique. BioTwin se concentre sur des cancers difficiles à dépister, comme ceux du pancréas, du poumon, du côlon et de l’ovaire, ainsi que sur des cancers fréquents comme ceux du sein et de la prostate. Aujourd’hui, j’ai rejoint ce projet en tant que participante, convaincue que l’innovation peut offrir une nouvelle voie pour la prévention et le dépistage. Ce projet de recherche est approuvé par un comité d’éthique indépendant, et chacun peut contribuer en rejoignant le groupe de contrôle pour enrichir les données de cette étude prometteuse.
