DEI has always been a strategic organization wide change initiative. Putting it in HR puts the onus on employee based barriers leaving all customer facing, and community facing barriers intact. This is super short sighted and reflects a weak Leadership strategy based on assumptions about customers and public relations. #inclusiveleadership #inclusioninaction #inclusionmatters #changemanagement #diversityinmarketing #supplierdiversity
This is why I have always argued that DEI should not sit in HR. DEI should be interwoven into every aspect of your corporate operations; Product Development, Marketing, Corporate Comms, Policy, Finance, Legal. The office of the COO is a much better and natural home for DEI than HR. https://lnkd.in/gqeVySZF

Let’s talk about Trust. What does it look like for you?
What does belonging look like for you? | Ex-Amazon | Inclusive Leader | Facilitator | Guest Speaker | Masters Track Athlete | Lifelong Learner |
Trust in organizations is created when transparency and accountability are prioritized and aligned with over-arching strategic goals and vision. If Leadership within any organization or group cannot immediately speak to HOW they are going to build trust, that tells me there is work to do. How is your organization or group building (or re-building??) trust today 🤔🤔 Thanks for prompting this discussion Chantal Fraser lots to unpack here 🧳 #inclusioninaction #trust #buildingtrust #rebuildingtrust #transparency #accountability #inclusiveleadership #leaderswhocare #leaderswholead #equity #equitymatters

This week I was asked to contribute to a message about Truth and Reconciliation Actions which could educate and contribute to a thoughtful conversation. I found this message from the non-Indigenous co-founder of Kebaonish Inc. - an Indigenous led coffee and tea company in the Quinte Region. This message is not only insightful and inspiring, it expresses and explains the importance of action through education. Listen 🎧 up! I think we could all use a better understanding of how we can begin your take action toward Reconciliation for our Indigenous neighbours and friends. #inclusioninaction #belongingredefined #indigenouseducation #truthandreconciliation #reconciliaction #themoreyouknow https://lnkd.in/ghdNty6p
Kebaonish Inc. on Instagram: "#TruthandReconciliation Day: More Than Just a Day I'm non-Indigenous, and I wanted to share that real truth and reconciliation can't happen in just one day—it’s a journey we must walk daily. September 30th is a powerful reminder, but the real impact happens when we take daily steps to support Indigenous communities. That could mean actively seeking out and supporting
