Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is setting new records as the highest-grossing tour in history, and the Barometer Global Music Royalty Fund is proud to share in its success. This landmark achievement not only impacts the music industry but also directly benefits the Fund's investors. The Fund co-owns five Taylor Swift songs, including two that are featured in the Eras Tour setlist: “Lavender Haze” and the show closing song “Karma”. For her Canadian performances, 3% of the box office gross is paid to the song rights holders, and our earnings from the royalty rate can be much higher in other key territories where she has toured around the globe. The total royalty revenue we receive from our Taylor Swift songs represents approximately 4% of the Fund’s overall royalty income. The tour has grossed over $1 billion in box office sales so far, making it the single highest-grossing tour of all time and the first ever to cross the 10-digit threshold.

Falling prices may not be the biggest risk to investors. It seems that in the present day, the bigger risk is that inflation eats your money. Today David Burrows had an opportunity to discuss strategies to invest for a more inflationary world.
