AWC Water Solutions recently hosted a client at our Langley, BC facility for the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of a water treatment plant bound for the Southwest United States.   This system features a reverse osmosis plant with greensand filtration pretreatment, designed to process 1,000 gpm of water. It will play a critical role in supporting a residential development expansion in a region facing rapid growth and significant water scarcity challenges.   The FAT was a success, and we’re excited to move into the commissioning phase in Spring 2025! In recent years, AWC Water Solutions has retrofitted numerous treatment plants. Retrofitting can be a cost-effective way to help existing facilities meet increased capacity within the same footprint, achieve higher water quality standards or adapt to changes in raw water quality or regulatory requirements – often at a lower cost than a full replacement. For example, AWC Water Solutions retrofitted a wastewater treatment plant located in the U.S. Northeast with new dissolved air flotation (DAF) and filtration systems (see image below). Following the retrofit, the plant achieved the highest-ever recorded discharge water quality. Our team is nearing the completion of fabricating and assembling four gravity filters for an EV battery manufacturer in the U.S. Midwest. Before shipment, the filters will undergo a rigorous factory acceptance test at our production facility. These filters, along with the four gravity filters shipped in July, will be part of an 8 million gallon per day water treatment facility.   #water #wastewater #watertreatment
