Occasionally we receive comments on our facebook page telling us that our "clothing is too expense." We actually appreciate and love these comments because they provide an opportunity to have an open and transparent dialogue with consumers whom may not be familiar with our brand and everything that we do... differently. It's true, the perceived savings in fast fashion often come at a hidden cost – the exploitation of garment workers and offshoring of manufacturing to countries with lower labor standards. While sustainable fashion may seem pricier upfront, it reflects the true cost of ethical production and fair wages. By investing in sustainable fashion, you're not only getting a quality product but also supporting a system that values human rights and environmental stewardship. We think we are pretty unique in the since that we design, mill, and manufacture 100% of all our clothing in Canada. How many other companies in Canada can say this? If you can think of a brand, I will send you a free headband! Instead of blaming brands or consumers, let's redirect our efforts towards systemic economic reform. By advocating for fair wages, tax incentives for sustainable businesses, a waste tax, and/or policies that encourage local production, we can foster an environment where ethical fashion is accessible to all. It's time to shift the conversation from blame to collaboration for a more sustainable and equitable future.
