about

…Father and son come together again, climbing aboard Robyn’s Rocket at Cafe Oto to map uncharted sonic extremities, this time aided and abetted by fellow traveller, Raimund Wong (Floating World Pictures). This live EP builds on the self-titled 'Betamax Vs. Clive Bell' LP (4* Mojo).

Betamax's rhythmic bona fides are ironclad: the drummer for ‘The Comet is Coming’ and ‘Soccer96’, as well as esoteric spin offs such as ‘Champagne Dub’ and ‘Coma World’ (also on Byrd Out).
Clive Bell is a veteran of London’s avant-garde and master of the Shakuhachi.
Raimund Wong is a tape loop warlock, wielding sounds that unsettle and sometimes please.
'I am curious (indigo)' sees the trio meeting at London's Cafe Oto for a session at Robyn’s Rocket, and at Soho Radio on Wong’s own show to record these tracks.

In praise of previous release 'Betamax Vs. Clive Bell'...
"hurtling beats with warped loops and drones over depth-charged dub and otherworldly folk" Mojo Magazine
"an appealingly electro-acoustic hippy duo ... on which cute tunes and dreamy synths conspire" Jazzwise Magazine
