Subject: aptitude: Warning message says "You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems"

Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.11.10-1
Severity: minor

Hi!

Sometimes when aptitude fails to update, it says:

W: GPG error: http://ftp.us.debian.org unstable Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG A70DAF536070D3A1 Debian Archive Automatic Signing Key (4.0/etch) <[email protected]>
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

Shouldn't it be "You may want to run aptitude update to correct these
problems", please?

Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Nelson

Maybe, but the warning messages come from libapt-pkg, not from aptitude.
And I doubt that libapt-pkg should take the trouble to find out which
program called it and format the message accordingly, so I'd suggest to
close the bug or tag it wontfix.

Also, the message is correct as-is: "apt-get update" will solve the
problem just fine.
