Our Snow Plow Drivers are responsible for safely operating our 2020-2022 Ford 350 Diesel Trucks throughout the duration of a winter storm, ensuring our customer properties are safe and curb to curb clean through out a storm, with a final clean by 5am.
They ensure the orders of the Field Manager are followed, and ensure Equipment Operators & Shovelers are working together in tandem if allocated to 1 large site.
Some Snow Plow Drivers are assigned a route, and lead a team of shovelers.
You are key to our cost-effective clearing of snow and deicing across large areas as you drive to prevent snow build-up or freezing.
You are how we quickly produce high-quality work, safely and productively at all times.
You have proven that you know how to use and operate the assigned equipment and are 100% responsible for its safe operation, equipment inspections and assisting with field repairs as needed.
*Snow Plow Driver Requirements:* * Must be personally committed to never violating our safety policy, particularly given your role in operating our trucks on public roads and private property.
* Plow driver will be required to inspect equipment, check fluids, lube and report findings each time they service their assigned property/route for an event.
* Understand storm processes, push plans, priority area management, and how to effectively & efficiently clear a property timely * Know how to operate a Salter with the right application rates.
Must be able to load your own truck with salt or sand using a Loader or Bobcat.
* Accurately follow directions of a Field Manager for each specific duty.
* Log every service in our CRM platform, via a company issued Tablet.
* Read emails, texts, answer phone calls timely with 24/7 availability during winter storms, high winds, and ice watch events * Log all attendance in PayCom in real time *General Responsibilities and Duties:* * Demonstrated ability to hear and comprehend directions is necessary for performing the day’s work safely and as expected.
* Ability to work at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractions with limited oversight or direction.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to remember, examine, and observe details.
* Hand/eye coordination with depth perception is critically important.
* Must have knowledge of safety rules and equipment operating regulations.
* Must be comfortable communicating effectively with coworkers and supervision of others, through leading them to success.

*Qualifications:* Demonstrated ability to remove snow across a site under any condition or circumstance using assigned equipment on commercial properties with high traffic * Must possess a valid state driver’s license and can drive to job sites, where you will then utilize our company issued truck * Must be available and committed to work on an on-call basis with irregular hours the entire winter season with very short notice at all times in the day, nights and holidays.
* Must attend and pass paid training at NIRO Headquarters, if the customer site requires a background check, with the ability to work lawfully work in the USA.
* Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment *Physical Requirements:* BODY POSITIONS: Will need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy work while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
He/she may also be required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time while completing other duties and responsibilities.
He/she will also be required to talk and/or listen for prolonged periods of time, both on the telephone and/or face to face.
BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to finger, handle, and feel objects such as computer equipment and reports.
Subject to repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs.
Must have the ability to bend the body, to reach for objects, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch, crawl, climb or balance when needed are also required.
BODY SENSES: The employee must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
These vision requirements in each area must be sufficient for example to shift in focus from computer screens to close forms.
STRENGTH: The employee must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability and willingness to work long hours outside in the winter during the snow season and as needed.
Job Type: Seasonal Pay: $25.
