Castleton Commodities International is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Front Office Information Technology team.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong experience building and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
Additionally, the candidate will have experience with various CI/CD methodologies, container orchestration tools, and observability and performance monitoring technologies.
This position is a hands-on role responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining a firmwide investment, trading, and analytics platform supported by APIs, applications, and visualization tools.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong technical background to implement the delivery of cloud-based solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement cloud-native infrastructure solutions to support the entire software development lifecycle.
Implement and deploy cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
Develop CI/CD pipelines to deploy applications and infrastructure.
Deploy observability tools to increase transparency and streamline application performance monitoring, logging, and associated telemetry metrics.
Partner with developers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, engineer, optimize, support, and maintain cloud-native solutions.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and remediate them accordingly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field of study.
10+ years of prior professional DevOps experience.
Practical deployment expertise in EKS and ECS, complemented by a solid understanding and hands-on experience with related AWS services.
Good understanding of networking concepts and OSI layers.
Experience designing and implementing DevOps best practices.
Knowledge working with observability and application performance monitoring technologies.
Advanced knowledge in assessing, deploying, configuring, testing, and operating AWS services using IaC tools.
Experience working in Linux environments.
Good understanding of containers.
Experience with the following technologies: Git, Python, shell scripting, and Terraform.
Thorough understanding of change management control and the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to testing and deployment.
Proven experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of issues, with a demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and propose effective solutions to prevent the recurrence of the issue.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, possessing the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Results-oriented team player who can handle rapidly changing projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.
Strong analytical skillset with demonstrated attention to detail.
The candidate should be passionate about technology and stay current with trends.
Fast learner who can adapt quickly and work in a dynamic environment.
