Develop software solutions in support of business goals and initiatives.
Adaptable to a variety of software development needs, from web application development using modern software tools, as well as assisting with existing code modifications and updates for our legacy software solutions.
Familiar with common software development architectures, front and back-end frameworks, database management systems, and internet protocols (REST, SOAP, APIs).
Speak with management, developers, database administrator, and users.
_Duties:_
- Work closely with the CTO to continuously relay feedback from internal groups: developers, analysts, users.
- Design, develop and modify software systems, update software and enhance existing software capabilities.
Develop specifications and performance requirements.
- Support developers and contribute to projects related to our corporate web sites and proprietary software applications.
For example, a cloud-hosted Linux server running NodeJS and communicating with the Microsoft Azure Bot Service.
The key for our company is flexibility to comprehend and support a wide variety of software engineering tools and solutions.
- Maintain databases related to application development and execution.
- Document technical solutions for transparency with the team.
_Requirements:_
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, and one (1) year of relevant IT experience.
Must include one (1) year of experience with:
- Development environments (server-side): Node JS, Visual Studio and Java;
- Development environments (client-side): React JS, Angular JS, or other Javascript framework, and JQuery;
- Infrastructure environment: Amazon EC2 and AWS Lambda;
- Database management servers: Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL;
- Operating Systems: Windows and Linux;
- Utilities: Docker, Wireshark, Postman, and Google Analytics; and
- Web technologies: HTML5, XML, Javascript, CSS and JSON.
Occasional telecommuting possible.
