Esta é a segunda edição do ranking, que avalia o alcance e a influência das universidades globalmente. No ano passado, a USP ocupava a 11ª posição, demonstrando crescimento em visibilidade. A classificação considera critérios como menções na mídia, acessos ao site institucional e engajamento nas redes sociais. Na América Latina, a USP é líder em categorias como site mais popular e maior número de menções em notícias. Entre 2021 e 2022, o Jornal da USP somou 159,9 milhões de acessos, consolidando-se como um importante veículo de divulgação científica. 🌱☀️🔬A USP aprovou a criação do Centro de Pesquisa e Inovação em Clima e Sustentabilidade, o USPproClima, para enfrentar os desafios das mudanças climáticas e da emergência ambiental. Ligado diretamente à Reitoria, o centro terá cinco áreas de atuação: gerenciamento de carbono, prevenção de desastres, ESG, economia circular e gestão de resíduos sólidos com geração de energia renovável. Tecnologias como energia fotovoltaica e biodigestores já fazem parte das soluções propostas. Localizado no campus Butantã, em São Paulo, o USPproClima contará com conselheiros renomados, como a ex-ministra Izabella Teixeira, além de especialistas de diversos países. A coordenadora Patrícia Iglecias reforçou a relevância do centro, destacando o papel da USP como única universidade brasileira entre as 100 melhores do mundo em rankings de sustentabilidade.
