Overview
Crocs is seeking a manager to lead all aspects of a small group of Source Acquisition data engineers who work primarily on developing, testing, and maintaining source acquisition components for Apache Airflow, OIC, Snowflake, and the Azure platform.
The Crocs Enterprise will be better equipped to make timely, data-driven decisions that advance the company thanks to this role.
In order to facilitate data acquisition for customers and projects, the function will operate autonomously inside the back-end team, working with its own team.
What You'll Do
- Day-to-Day Operations - Responsible for overall data availability and communication to global teams during times of outage or anomalies
- Deploy and lead monitoring tools that will ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of all data components
- Lead all aspects of daily system loads and control execution to ensure data integrity and alignment with other systems
- Ensure system patching is kept up to date and drives upgrade process based on corporate cadence
- Explore opportunities to improve system performance
- Solution Enhancements – Architect and collaborate with the data engineers on deploying new source acquisition pipelines and components.
- Ensure stability and performance of the existing pipelines in accordance with internal SLA’s
- Guide the data engineering team through the improvements of the existing data flows for source acquisition
- Stay abreast on tool roadmap to identify opportunities and risks to current landscape
- Engineering Best Practices – Lead engineering best practices, including test-driven development, agile management, and continuous integration pipelines
- Craft technical documentation, including reading files, coding comments, and technical documents and provides mentorship in this regard to the team
What You'll Bring to the Table
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent technical degree
- Experience: 5+ years in a similar role
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Experience working in Azure
- Proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in SQL required
- Experience in Relational Databases (Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, Snowflake)
- Experience applying Git version control in a data environment
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment through Azure DevOps
- Experience operating in an Agile environment
- Experience in distributed computing preferred
- Experience working with ERP systems SAP, Salesforce, Oracle ERP is a plus
- Prior experience working in a cloud platform
PREFERRED:
- Experience using Spark and Kafka for data streaming
- OIC experience
- Experience working with modern ETL/ELT tools, such as Databricks/Pyspark
- Experience with a business intelligence tool, such as Power BI

Salary or Pay Range: $130,00 - $145,00

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
