Gelato Boy is seeking a Shop Supervisor for Pearl Street locations.
You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the scoop shops.
The Gelato Boy Shop Supervisor is someone who thrives on challenge and continually looks for opportunities to learn and inspire others around them.
As a Shop Supervisor responsibilities for day to day operations in the shop include but are not limited to: scheduling, staffing, product ordering, product quality, employee development, customer engagement, health code standards and much more.
A Shop Supervisor should be comfortable taking responsibility and delegating it.
*This role is about 80% working and running shifts (where you are eligible for tips) with about 20% of the time being administrative work.

Customer satisfaction always takes priority but efficient restaurant operations make it possible.

*Responsibilities*
* Effectively lead the shops while present and away
* Maintain a strong team who focuses on hospitality
* Responsible for monitoring training and development of new employees
* Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning tasks, directing staff in regards
to customer service, and following up with all team members
* Must be proficient in each area of Gelato Boy to assist when necessary
* Acts with integrity and honesty while promoting the Gelato Boy culture
* Follow inventory control procedures to reduce product loss
* Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout Gelato Boy including the shop,
kitchen, storage and all other areas we operate
* Manage time effectively and meet all job responsibilities
* Maintain a positive work environment for employees and customers
* Ensure all gelato, coffee, waffles, milkshakes, etc.
are prepared according to
Gelato Boy’s standards of quality
* Check food quality and temperatures throughout the day to maintain Health and Safety regulations
* Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures
* Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
* Lead by example: show other employees how they should talk to customers, be proactive and optimize down time, treat other employees, vendors, and anyone else you cross paths with while representing Gelato Boy with respect
* Communicate consistently with upper management to keep everyone in the loop on the status of employee performance, the shop, and other necessary areas for smooth operations
*Shift Expectations*
* This is a full time position
* Most shifts are in the evening and on the weekend.
Availability at these times is required.
* Must be able to be on your feet for 8+ /hrs a day
* Should be able to lift at least 25 lbs
* Must have strong communication skills
* Should enjoy working in customer service
