As part of our preparations for the SRT Fairs Spring 2025 university fair season, our event coordinators are traveling to meet with our host schools to help get ready for the new year! Olivia, our event coordinator for Portugal, recently visited our two host schools in Lisbon, Oeiras International School and International Sharing School - Taguspark, to catch up with counselors Cynthia Gathman and Sofia Vila-Chã. Our two university fairs in Lisbon will form part of our Spring Portugal Tour, 18-20 February 2025. We will head north to south from Porto to Lisbon and finish in the Algarve, offering unique opportunities for international students to meet and engage with universities from around the globe. We’re excited to bring together schools, counselors, and universities for meaningful conversations and to help students take their first steps toward international higher education opportunities.

At SRT Fairs, we create tailored opportunities for schools and universities to collaborate, helping guide students toward their futures in higher education. As part of our events program, we recently hosted school counselors from Europe, Eurasia, and Latin America for a week-long counselor fly-in experience in Madrid and Barcelona. Counselors visited leading universities such as Esade, IE University, CEU Universities, Universitat Ramon Llull, LCI Barcelona - Escuela Superior, and IED Madrid, participated in campus tours, masterclasses, workshops, and one-on-one meetings. The fly-in proved an invaluable opportunity to gain valuable insights into academic programs and student life in Spain. 📖 Learn more about the latest SRT Fly-in Spain in our feature on The PIE website: https://lnkd.in/dGuwz9-i

We have just wrapped up an insightful global session on how schools and universities can proactively collaborate to support students' emotional and social well-being during the transition from high school to university. Our fantastic team of global session panelists shared crucial academic research and real-life case studies of best practice strategies that schools and universities are implementing, from mentorship initiatives to tools that help students navigate university life with confidence. The discussion explored key themes, including the impact of global digitalization and social media on student health and well-being, accessibility, and equity in education, and the barriers students will continue to face if the international education community does not collaborate strategically during this critical transitional period. Another focus was on fostering a sense of belonging - a crucial factor in helping students feel connected as they start university. Thank you very much to our panelists: Mejianer Alcaraz Bekaert, BEPS International School, Dr. Daniella Schmitt, European School RheinMain (ESRM), Eleni Armaou, Metropolitan School of Frankfurt Tamara Lipnjak, RIT Croatia, Louise Staunton, Trinity College Dublin ...and to all our participants for such an inspiring first global session!
