This vast repository of information on innovation and innovators is an invaluable resource to readers wanting to explore the ideas, inspiration and acumen of thought leaders driving change in the world today.
Not just a book about innovation and innovators, the industry-first Enhanced Edition, with its regularly updated Online Ecosystem and SmartMark interactive, intelligent bookmark - an evolving knowledge base enabling knowledge capture and collaboration - is an innovation itself!
"Three core axioms infuse this book: 1) innovation drives change – cultural, societal and economic; 2) innovation, in some form, touches each and every one of us, wherever we may be, as individuals,
communities and societies as a whole; and 3) innovators deserve recognition, celebration and applause. This book is my hands clapping."Other creatorsSee project -

It will close the emerging gap between business centric IoT enterprise systems and citizen provided infrastructure
Today much of the IoT is based on business centric deployments which are used by enterprises for the optimisation of business processes through the extraction of real world knowledge from environments and consumer intelligence. They are in fact private so called “intra-nets” in which data flows and derived real-world knowledge are accessible only to privileged entities. Our goal is to move towards more participatory open eco-systems in which IoT devices and information flows can be freely shared in a secure and trusted manner and made available to the benefits of communities and its citizens.
SOCIOTAL will establish an IoT eco-system that puts trust, user control and transparency at its heart in order to gain the confidence of everyday users and citizens. By providing adequate socially aware tools and mechanisms that simplify complexity and lower the barriers of entry it will encourage citizen participation in the Internet of Things. This will add a novel and rich dimension to the emerging IoT ecosystem, providing a wealth of opportunities for the creation of new services and applications that address true societal needs and allow the improvement of the quality of life across European cities and communities.Other creatorsSee project -
