Today is International #MigrantsDay! Within the #HRservices industry, we believe that well-designed #migration policies enable labour mobility, which is vital for filling #skills gaps, supporting economic growth, and ensuring inclusive labour markets. In a recent paper with the International Organisation of Employers (IOE), we have demonstrated this crucial role of migrants as integral contributors in the context of the #green transition. We are glad to work with the ILO Employment Policies in the context of their campaign to promote the ratification of ILO Conventions 88 and 181. Most recently, we organised a webinar jointly with our colleagues from the public employment services World Association of Public Employment Services WAPES showcasing concrete examples of how the ratification of the conventions has lead to more effective and inclusive labour markets around the world. ACSESS (Association of Canadian Search, Employment & Staffing Services) is our Member of the Month! Lots going on right now for our Canadian national federation: first, it was announced that ACSESS will merge with the National Association of Canadian Consulting Businesses (NACCB) to represent the Canadian staffing industry with one united voice. Second, ACSESS won the bid for hosting our World Employment Conference 2026! We can't wait to gather the #staffing community in Toronto in May 2026.
