As 2024 comes to a close, we look back on an exciting and challenging year, particularly with the implementation of the UCC (Union Customs Code). The evolving regulatory landscape kept us on our toes 😉 Some highlights of 2024 🔹 We kept a full focus on UCC, with the go-live of some major new declaration systems and customs related formalities: AES exports (BE), LUCCS & NCTS (LUX) and DVA (NL), PoUS, CBAM,.. 🔹 We successfully onboarded the majority of Unitas customers towards Stream 🔹 We reached a major milestone in customs - we processed 7 million declarations – an increase of over 1 million compared to 2023 📈 (exclusive e-commerce H7) 🔹 Generated 2 million invoices automatically, boosting efficiency 🔹 A staggering 120 million dossier lines processed across our systems 🔹 Special remark for DMS4.1 (NL), where we are very proud to have worked closely with customs as a pilot! What's more?💡 The Netherlands surpassed Belgium in declaration volume (excluding globalizations), showcasing the dynamic nature of customs processes in the region. In these turbulent times of constant changes within the world of customs, we must hold on to the successes we reach.   Last week we received the very first release of an IDMS declaration in production. Big cheers for Luc De Kerf and the DKM-CUSTOMS-team, and a special thank you for Crossroad Communications NV for the live support!   We will proceed with our pilots the upcoming weeks to gather more insights and experience regarding the new Belgian import system. ⚠️ Announcement: Final (??) delay NCTS P5 BE till 21/01/2025! ⚠️ We've received the news NCTS P5 in Belgium will be postponed till the 21st of January 2025. After several messages of delays and replanning, this date is the actual final deadline TAXUD grants member states for NCTS P4 will be shut down. There's still some details to be checked and discussed. As from we receive more official news, we will inform everyone via our regular channels. In the meantime Stream Software keeps testing wherever possible and prepping configuration to get our customers steamed up towards Go-live. Update on NCTS EUC Phase 5 - BE 🚨 The mandatory transition to NCTS Phase 5 has been postponed to December 9, providing operators additional time to prepare. Although the transition has been delayed, Stream Software is making all the necessary preparations for the upcoming BIG BANG 💥 From this date: 🔹 All new transit declarations must be submitted in NCTS Phase 5. 🔹 Submissions in the old system (Phase 4) will no longer be accepted. For movements that started before December 9, specific rules apply. Movements with both departure and arrival within Belgium, or with departure in Belgium and arrival in another country, must still be processed in the old system, Phase 4. However, movements with departure outside Belgium must be processed in the new system, NCTS Phase 5. Get Ready for the NCTS P5 Transition on December 2, 2024! 🤺 The switch from NCTS to NCTS P5 is just around the corner, and it’s truly a BIG BANG 💥 Starting from this date, all transit declarations must be submitted via the new NCTS EUC or P5. To help users prepare, here are some essential tips and best practices based on lessons learned from recent implementations in Luxembourg and the Netherlands: ✔ Verify GRNs - Check your NCTS P4 GRN's are converted to NCTS EUC. Use our "How to" guide for updates. ✔ Select GRN in Declarations - Enter the Holder of Transit Procedure first, then press F5 to select the correct GRN. ✔ Add TA/TG Authorizations in your templates when using simplified procedure ✔ Container Management - Use the new Additional Range feature to find containers quickly. ✔ Non-Arrived Movements - A new status will appear when customs sends a reminder. Check the F1 manual (Chapter 10). ✔ ILS Charge Codes - Configure ILS Charge Codes if needed using our documentation guide. ✔ Masterfields Interface - Ensure templates are updated when creating declarations from Customs Dossier. ✔ Goods Location Code - Fill out the EUC Goodslocation field for NCTS EUC declarations. In these turbulent UCC times, one would forget the other declaration systems!   From the beginning of 2025, the new MIG for Client PD (NVWA - NL) will become active. This will be accompanied by a transition period that runs until March 1, 2025, during which the current version will remain active.   The most important changes in the new MIG 👇 🔹 Addition of the 'Traces:operator internal activity ID', this ID will apply to all market participants (transporters, importers, etc.) that exist in the European traces system. 🔹 Addition of the 'Location Document Control' data element.
