Quality is a key priority in all areas of our work. Patients and healthcare practitioners rightfully expect from us the highest quality standards. It is a collective responsibility within our organization, not confined solely to our Quality team. In recognition of World Quality Week earlier this month, the team organized an escape room experience to emphasize this shared commitment. Colleagues had to look for clues in order to get a live-changing medicine in time to a patient. Besides great fun, it was also a nice educational refresher to immerse colleagues in the critical work of ensuring high standards. Our Medical Science Liaisons and Study & Site Operations team rocked it with an escape in just 39 minutes and 29 seconds! 🏆 Congratulations Silke Vermaerke Jelka Van De Vliet Julien De Poortere Hannah De Baere Tine Schepers Nele Decruy Nina Wegge! #WorldQualityWeek #QualityFirst #NovartisTogether

80% of cardiovascular diseases are preventable. It all starts with being aware of our risk factors and taking care of our heart. 💓 Whether it's getting active (with daily walks or... by participating in a half-marathon!), having a balanced diet, managing stress, or keeping up with regular health check-ups: each step can play a key role in heart health. That’s why we have at heart to be the official healthcare partner of the first-ever European Running Championships organized by Golazo Group in April 2025, supporting your journey to a healthier heart. 🏃♂️ It will be an historic event where athletes of all levels - amateurs and professionals - will share the same starting line. Join the movement towards better heart health, one stride at a time. Let it beat! Innovation only matters when it reaches those who need it. 🌍💊 Today we want to share a piece of news we are really proud of: Novartis has been ranked first in the 2024 Access to Medicine Index. This recognition reinforces our commitment to improving access to breakthrough medicines for people around the world, regardless of their location or socio-economic status. While we are grateful for this recognition, there is still a large unmet need for medicines —some life-changing, others potentially life-saving— and we are committed to further broaden access to innovation and create sustainable impact. Thank you to our 70,000+ associates around the globe and our partners who work tirelessly to make inclusive healthcare a reality. Because every patient matters. Everywhere. #ReimagineMedicineTogether #AccessToMedicine #HealthEquity Access to Medicine Foundation

In her 15-year journey with us, Tamara Haentjens has exemplified the spirit of growth and innovation at Novartis Belux. Starting in regulatory affairs, Tamara was responsible for the clinical trial submissions to, and follow-up on, Medical Need and Compassionate Use programs with the health authorities - given her previous work experience, this was a chance to build upon her knowledge on these topics. While in regulatory affairs, she had the opportunity to do a job rotation in what was then known as market access, eventually joining the Value & Access team. Tamara's career is an example to our commitment to professional development. Her story highlights the power of flexibility at Novartis, offering her the opportunity to navigate her career path while contributing significantly to patient care. Her ability to balance professional aspirations with personal commitments, especially in light of her family needs, underscores the supportive and flexible work culture we champion. Tamara's journey is one of inspiration and impact, showcasing the possibilities that arise from a nurturing environment where learning and innovation flourish. #NovartisTogether #NovartisLife #JustPeople

“Patients need access to the right treatment at the right time.” It is essential that people with unmet medical needs are not overlooked, writes Dr. sandra amaral, our Country Head of Medical Affairs. She dedicated her career to this cause and has learned from experience that closer collaboration can lead to significant improvements in patient access. “Stakeholders need to work together to find solutions which get patients access to the treatments they need the most, while ensuring the sustainability of our healthcare systems. To work together, we also need to ensure we trust each other.” Healthcare professionals, the industry, patient organizations, policymakers, and payers all have crucial roles in ensuring timely and sustainable access to advanced medicines. When we all roll up our sleeves and work together, patients in Belgium win. 💪 For more on reimagining access in Belgium, read Sandra’s perspective here. Dr. Marleen Finoulst, coordinator of Pink Ribbon Belgium's Knowledge Center, joined us for a (pink) Lunch & Learn to discuss her book, Omhelzingen/Étreintes. It shares personal stories of those close to people with breast cancer, combined with expert insights. Based on a 2023 survey, the book highlights how loved ones feel it’s taboo to mention that people still die from breast cancer and that only those who've experienced it truly understand its challenges. The book reminds us that breast cancer isn't "just pink" and highlights the burden and taboos around it. It also, in Marleen’s words, acts as a "warm blanket," showing us what people are capable of. 💗 For more information about the book & the survey: NL: https://lnkd.in/e7xJST3h FR: https://lnkd.in/eJk2NeCx #ReimagineMedicine #NovartisTogether #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BreastCancer
