🎄🐾 Keep the Holidays Safe for Your Pets! 🐾🎄 This Christmas, remember that some of our festive favorites can be harmful to our beloved furry friends. FECAVA supports the advice from Veterinary Ireland to "Keep Those Treats to Yourself" to ensure the health and safety of pets during the holidays. 🚫 Foods to Avoid Sharing with Pets: Chocolate: Especially dark varieties, which can poison pets due to substances like caffeine. Turkey & Ham: Bones and hot, fatty foods can cause severe stomach problems. Stuffing, Gravy & Desserts: Ingredients like onions, raisins, and nuts can be toxic to cats and dogs. Rich, Fatty Foods: May lead to pancreatitis, which can be life-threatening. 🐶🐱 What to Do in an Emergency: If your pet shows signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or breathing difficulties), contact your veterinarian immediately. Veterinary practices are on call year-round, even on Christmas Day. Let’s make this holiday safe and joyful for every family member! 🐕🐈 #FECAVA #PetSafety #HealthyPets #MerryChristmas
